Majikhan Mutva is a mud art practitioner. He is famous for his mud artwork which is also known as lippan artwork. Mud artwork is a traditional form of art carved on the mud base. The fine artwork takes a lot of time and hard work to complete a single masterpiece.

Majikhan learned this beautiful artwork from his ancestors who used to practice this for years. This 300-year-old artwork was earlier done directly on the walls which then later shifted to small mud bases.

Mudwork/Lippan Artwork

The art consists of developing a beautiful design of a wooden canvas with the help of mud. The mud is rolled into thin strips which are then dipped into the fevicol and is molded into fine designs. The formed designs are then decorated using mirrors of different size and shapes. The mud art can be used for different purposes like wall hangings, key holder, photo frame, mud work mirror, choice name frame, mud work watch.
