This set of 10 wooden idols representing Dasavatharam of Lord Vishnu is handcrafted by the local artisans from Cuddapah, Andhra Pradesh. The 9.5 inches handmade idols are crafted out of teak/country wood. While these can be worshipped, these also are a must have to render ethnic warmth to your temple decor.
The word Dashavatara derives from dasa, meaning 'ten', and avatar , equivalent to 'incarnation'. The first four avatars (Matsya, Kurma, Varaha & Narasimha) of God Vishnu appeared in Satya or Krita Yuga . The next three (Vamana, Parasurama & Sri Rama) appeared in Treta Yuga, the eighth (Sri Balarama) and ninth (Sri Krishna) in Dwapara Yuga and the tenth (Kalki Avatar) will appear at the end of Kali Yuga.
